Only a few hours after playing United CC, Brno Rangers (BRG) will square off against Prague Barbarian Vandals (PBV) in a match that is rightly expected to produce fireworks.

Unlike Brno Rangers, Prague Barbarian Vandals have already played two games this season and have won both of them. They kicked off their campaign against Prague CC Rooks on May 4, beating them by nine wickets and followed that with another victory, this time beating United CC by eight wickets.

It is safe to say that Prague Barbarian Vandals have made significant progress since losing out to Bohemian CC in the ECN Czech Super Series Final last year.

Brno Rangers, on the other hand, have also shown sheer quality in the past. They are, in fact, the winners of the Czech Super Series Week 4 2020, and will be hoping to carry on the momentum this year as well.

BRG vs PBV match prediction

While it is difficult to predict a winner yet, given that BRG are yet to play a game this season, their form from the previous edition says a lot. PBV, on the other hand, are someone who cannot be overlooked either. They have a perfect record in the group, but judging by the quality these two teams have, we expect BRG to triumph over PBV on May 6.

BRG vs PBV best players

Top Tip: Best Batsmen

The track of Vinor Cricket Ground in Prague is a batting paradise, to say the least, so one can expect batsmen to dominate bowlers more often than not. As for the best batsmen, a certain Dylan Steyn from BRG can be a potent weapon for his team. Unlike his namesake, Dale Steyn, Dylan is a top-order batsman and loves to go big with the bat. In the final last year, he smashed 21 off just 11 balls to take the Rangers score to 84.

For PBV, their star man Sabawoon Davizi will once again be in the spotlight. He has scored a total of 46 runs in two innings already this season and BRG will vary the threat he brings.

Top Tip: Best Bowlers

Rahat Ali from BRG was so destructive last season that he ended up picking two wickets in as many overs in the final against Brno Raiders. Such was his domination that both of his overs were maiden overs. Expect him to have a major say against PBV.

Meanwhile, PBV are certain to rely heavily on Muralidhara Vandrasi who has been extremely economical this season. In two matches this season, Vandrasi has conceded just 16 runs in four overs while picking four wickets.
