Kuwait begin Asia Cup 2022 qualifiers preparations against Bahrain - watch live in India

Kuwait will prepare for the upcoming Asia Cup 2022 Qualifiers with the five-match T20I series against Bahrain in Oman.

The Bahrain vs Kuwait T20I series will be played from August 11 to 17.

Bahrain were last seen in action during the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2022 Global qualifiers in Oman. Taking on Canada in the fifth-place playoff, Bahrain batted first and scored 131/8 in 20 overs.

But when it was their turn to defend the score, Bahrain could only take three wickets as Canada hit 132/3 in 14.3 overs to claim a seven-wicket victory.

Kuwait, meanwhile, played their last set of T20I games in the ICC Men's T20 World Cup Asia A Qualifier 2021/22.

The team, who qualified for the upcoming Asia Cup 2022 Qualifiers via the ACC Western Region T20 tournament in 2020 alongside UAE, will use the five-match T20I series against Bahrain to fine-tune their squad for the Asia Cup qualifiers.

As far as the head-to-head record is concerned, Kuwait maintain a 3-0 lead over Bahrain. The teams last met in 2021 when Kuwait secured a six-wicket victory.

The Bahrain vs Kuwait T20I series will be played at the Al Amerat Cricket Stadium in Oman.
