Austria Women’s national cricket team will clash against Guernsey Women in a home series of four T20Is, starting on August 27 and ending on August 28.

Two matches will be held on August 27 while the remaining two contests of the four-game T20I series will take place on August 28.

Placed at the bottom of the ICC women’s T20I rankings in 64th spot, Austria Women head into this series after a disappointing 0-3 away series loss against Isle of Man Women in July.

After setting a low total of 128/7 in the final T20I, the Jo-Antoinette Stiglitz-led team were unable to restrict the Isle of Man Women team, who won the match by eight wickets and seven balls to seal a 3-0 whitewash.

Interestingly, Guernsey Women’s national cricket team will also go into this series after being clean swept by Jersey Women at their home ground in a three-match T20I contest back in June.

In their last match of that series, Guernsey Women were set a mammoth target of 197 to chase by Jersey Women. But an underwhelming batting performance by Krista De La Mare’s team cost them their pride. They only managed to make 38 runs in response and suffered a 0-3 loss.

Heading into a fresh T20I series, Austria Women would hope to break their 14-match losing streak while Guernsey Women vie for an ICC ranking.

All the matches will be played at the Seebarn Cricket Centre, Lower Austria, in Austria, Europe.

The hosts Austria will be captained by Andrea Mae-Zepeda while Krista De La Mare will lead the visiting team.
