The Australian men’s cricket team will host West Indies in a three-match T20 International (T20I) series starting on Friday, February 9.
As per the Australia vs West Indies T20 2024 schedule, the first game will be played at the Bellerive Oval in Hobart before the two teams head to Adelaide Oval for the second T20 on February 11. The third and final T20 of the series will be played at the Perth Stadium on February 13.
Ranked fourth in the ICC men’s T20I rankings, Australia will be brimming with confidence after thrashing West Indies 3-0 in the recently concluded ODI series.
The 2021 T20 world champions will be led by Mitchell Marsh in a crucial series with the T20 World Cup 2024 on the horizon. Star all-rounder Glenn Maxwell has returned to the squad after he missed the ODI series.
On the other hand, the West Indies cricket team, led by Rovman Powell, will look to bounce back after being blanked in the 50-over series. Former captain Jason Holder and flamboyant batting all-rounder Kyle Mayers have been included in the 15-man squad.
West Indies, the two-time T20 World Cup winners, are currently placed seventh in the ICC men’s T20I rankings.

West Indies hold a slight edge in their head-to-head record against Australia in T20 cricket, winning 10 of the 19 matches played between these two teams. Australia have registered nine victories so far.
The last time these two sides met in cricket’s shortest format, Australia secured a 2-0 T20I series win over West Indies at home in October 2022.
