The Australian cricket team begins its tour of Sri Lanka with a three-match T20 series scheduled to start on Tuesday, June 7.
The Aussies, defending champions of the T20 World Cup, will play on Sri Lankan soil for the first time since 2016 and enter the series with 12 wins in 22 head-to-head meetings against the Lankan Lions.
Furthermore, the record of the Aussies in Sri Lanka is fairly good, with two wins and two defeats in four T20 matches.
Sri Lanka, on the other hand, will aim to set the record straight against Australia after they were handed a 1-3 defeat in the five-match T20 series the last time they met.
The first two matches of the T20I series will be played at the R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo while the final game is scheduled to be held at the Pallekele International Stadium.
