The ACC Men’s T20I Challenger Cup 2024 is scheduled to start on January 27 and conclude on February 11 in Bangkok, Thailand.
Organised by the Asian Cricket Council (ACC), the ACC Men’s T20I Challenger Cup 2024 is the second edition of the ACC Men's Challenger Cup and will be part of the qualification pathway for Asia Cup 2025.
The top two teams in the ACC Men’s T20I Challenger Cup 2024 will qualify for the 2024 ACC Men's Premier Cup, which will act as the final stage of qualification for the upcoming Asia Cup cricket tournament.
The ACC Men’s T20I Challenger Cup 2024 will see as many as 10 teams compete in a total of 22 matches across two weeks.
Cambodia, China and Myanmar will participate in the Challenger Cup Qualifier from January 27-30.
The winner of the qualifier will qualify for the main draw of the ACC Men’s T20I Challenger Cup 2024.
As per the format, eight teams have been divided into two groups of four teams each.
Bhutan, Indonesia, and Saudi Arabia and the qualifier will be in Group A, while the likes of Japan, Maldives, Singapore and Thailand are clubbed in Group B.
Each team will play the other sides in their group once in a round-robin format. The top two teams from each group will advance to the semi-finals.
The winners of the two semi-finals will clash in the ACC Men’s T20I Challenger Cup 2024 final to be held on February 11.
All matches of the upcoming T20 tournament will be played at the Terdthai Cricket Ground in Bangkok.
