The ACC Men’s Premier Cup 2023 will begin on Tuesday, April 18, and conclude on Monday, May 1.

The Cricket Association of Nepal hosts this 10-nation tournament, which is a part of the qualification pathway to the 2023 ACC Men’s Asia Cup.

As many as 10 countries will be competing in this 50-over tournament. The teams participating in the ACC Men’s Premier Cup 2023 are Nepal, Oman, Qatar, Malaysia, Saudi Arabia, Hong Kong, United Arab Emirates, Singapore, Kuwait, and Bahrain.

These teams will be divided into two groups, comprising five sides each. While Nepal, Malaysia, Oman, Qatar, and Saudi Arabia are a part of Group A, Bahrain, Hong Kong, Kuwait, United Arab Emirates, and Singapore feature in Group B.

The likes of Bahrain and Saudi Arabia qualified for this tournament from the ACC Men’s Challenger Cup, which was held earlier this year in February.

The winner of this tournament will directly qualify for the Asia Cup, which will be held later this year. Meanwhile, the runner-ups and the third-placed team will qualify for the ACC Men’s Emerging Nations Asia Cup, which will be held later in 2023.

All participating teams will compete in four group matches in a round-robin format that will see every side in the group square off against each other once. A total of 24 matches will be played, including the semis, third-place playoff, and the final.

The top two teams from both groups will then qualify for the semi-finals with the topper from Group A facing off against the runner-up from Group B and vice versa. The winner of the semi-finals will lock horns in the final on May 1 for a direct spot in Asia Cup 2023.

There will be a maximum of two games in a day over the course of this tournament and all games will be played at either the Tribhuvan University Ground or the Mulani Cricket Ground in Nepal.
