The 6ixty women 2022 cricket tournament will start on Wednesday, August 24, with Barbados Royals women facing Trinbago Knight Riders in the tournament opener.
The 6ixty women, alongside the 6ixty (men’s tournament), is a new T10 League launched by Cricket West Indies and the Caribbean Premier League (CPL).
A total of seven matches will be played entirely at Warner Park between August 24 and August 29 in the women’s tournament.
The format of 6ixty women will see each team having only six wickets to defend instead of the regular 10 in 10 overs.
The teams competing in 6ixty women 2022 are Barbados Royals women, Guyana Amazon Warriors women and Trinbago Knight Riders women. Each side will play the others twice. The top two teams after round robin matches face off in the final.
The 6ixty women's cricket tournament 2022 will be played before the inaugural women’s Caribbean Premier League 2022, scheduled from September 1 to 5.
