India’s Shikhar Dhawan and England’s Jack Burnham have scored the most hundreds in Under-19 World Cup

Both Dhawan and Burnham have registered three centuries in the ICC Under-19 World Cup, the highest number of tons by any batter in the tournament.

In the 2004 edition of the Under-19 World Cup held in Bangladesh, the southpaw smashed unbeaten 138-ball 155 against Scotland to guide India to a score of 425/3. This went down as the Delhi-born cricketer’s highest score at Under-19 World Cup

Dhawan followed it by scoring 120 off 148 balls against hosts Bangladesh and 136-ball 146 versus Sri Lanka.

In the 2016 edition of the Under-19 World Cup in Bangladesh, Jack Burnham replicated Dhawan’s feat by scoring three hundreds in the high-profile tournament.

The right-handed English batter smashed centuries against Fiji (148), Zimbabwe (106 not out) and Namibia (109).

Apart from Dhawan and Burnham, there have been 10 players who have scored two centuries in the Under-19 World Cup. The list includes Eoin Morgan (England), Babar Azam (Pakistan), Anamul Haque (Bangladesh), Brett Williams (Australia), Lendl Simmons (West Indies), Alick Athanaze (West Indies), Alastair Cook (England), Aiden Markram (South Africa), Raynard Van Tonder (South Africa) and Brendan Taylor (Zimbabwe).

Among these, Taylor, Haque, Azam, Morgan and Simmons are the only batters to score centuries in more than one edition of the Under-19 World Cup.
