KhiladiX Legends Cricket Trophy 2023, the inaugural edition of the tournament, will take place from March 22 to 30. Chandigarh Champs will face Guwahati Avengers in the opening game of the tournament.
The tournament will be played in the T20 format and matches will be held at Ghaziabad’s VVIP Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium.
Organised by the Board for Veteran Cricket in India (BVCI), the nine-day-long tournament features several former cricketers from India as well as overseas and they will compete against each other over 18 matches.
A few of the notable former players who are a part of the tournament include Virender Sehwag, Harbhajan Singh, Nick Compton, Praveen Kumar, Robin Uthappa, Yusuf Pathan, Irfan Pathan, Isuru Udana, Suresh Raina, Sanath Jayasuriya, Thisara Perera, Tillakaratne Dilshan, and Richard Levi.
The six teams participating in the tournament are Chandigarh Champs, Nagpur Ninjas, Patna Warriors, Vizag Titans, Indore Knights, and Guwahati Avengers.
All sides will square off with the others once in the tournament before the top four teams in the standings progress to the semi-finals. The winners of the two semis will face off in the final on March 30.
