The Ireland national cricket team will face United Arab Emirates (UAE) in the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2022 Qualifier A final at the Al Amerat Cricket Ground (Ministry Turf 1) ground in Oman. The match will begin at 3:30 PM IST on Thursday, February 24.
Both Ireland and UAE finished with two wins in three games in Group A of the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2022 Qualifier A. However, it was Ireland that topped Group A on account of a better run rate (0.991).
Ireland, who have featured in six of the seven T20 World Cups played so far, are looking to win their fourth Qualifier final in five attempts and first since 2013. However, UAE look poised to produce a stern challenge.
The United Arab Emirates cricket team lead the head-to-head record in T20Is against Ireland with six wins in 10 matches. Furthermore, UAE have won four of the last five meetings, including their recent 18-run win against Ireland last Friday.
Both Ireland and the United Arab Emirates have already qualified for the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2022.
