After conquering England in the shortest format in their own backyard, South Africa now take on Ireland in a two-match T20I series, starting Wednesday, August 3. All the matches will be played at the Gloucestershire Cricket Stadium in Bristol.
Ireland, who have been pretty active on the international stage, haven’t enjoyed the best form of late. They head into the South Africa series on the back of a 0-3 defeat against New Zealand in the shortest format and also lost a two-match T20I series against India in June.
In fact, Ireland’s last win in international cricket dates back to February 2022 when they defeated Oman in the World Cup qualifier. Since then, they have lost each of their last nine matches across formats.
As far as South Africa are concerned, they will continue to play Ireland with the same squad that locked horns with England. This means David Miller will continue to lead the side in the shortest format.

The Ireland vs South Africa head-to-head record in T20 cricket is outrightly dominated by the latter, who have won each of their three meetings. The two teams played a three-match T20I series back in July 2021 and South Africa won all the matches with relative ease.
