The Ireland Inter-Provincial Limited Over Cup 2023 began on May 15 with North West Warriors getting the better of Munster Reds by six wickets in the tournament opener.

Four teams will be competing in this tournament and these sides are North West Warriors, Munster Reds, Leinster Lightning, and Northern Knights.

Each team will clash against the other in the tournament twice in a double round-robin format with the top team at the end of the 12 encounters in Ireland Inter-Provincial Limited Overs Cup 2023 being declared the winner of this 50-over per side competition.

All the teams have some well-recognised Irish talents in their squad. Leinster Lightning has players like current Ireland Andrew Balbirnie, Harry Tector, and all-rounder Geroge Dockrell in the team, while Munster Reds have talents like Gareth Delaney and Curtis Campher.

Meanwhile, the Andy McBrine-led North West Warriors outfit is made up of players like the experienced Craig Young and Conor Olphert. Northern Knights, on the other hand, boast players like Mark Adair and Paul Stirling.

All the matches in this tournament will be held at the Mardyke Cricket Club in Cork, Ireland and a maximum of one game will be played on a given day with the last game of the competition slated to be between Northern Knights and North West Warriors on September 7.
