Bangalore bowler Mohammed Siraj, on Wednesday, became the first player to bowl two maiden overs in an Indian T20 League game, as his spectacular bowling restricted Kolkata to just 17 runs at a loss of four wickets in the powerplay.

The 26-year-old Hyderabad native struck in only his third delivery by dismissing Rahul Tripathi. He followed it up with an absolute peach of a delivery to bluff Nitish Rana before getting the better of Tom Banton in his second over. The pacer bowled two maiden overs within the powerplay restriction, and in process, became the first bowler to do so in the competition.

Siraj replaced Shahbaz Ahmed in Bangalore's squad on Wednesday after being dropped during his side's seven-wicket victory over Rajasthan last time out. The reason for the omission was his substandard return against Punjab last week where he was hit for 44 runs in just three overs at an economy of 14.67. Against Kolkata though, the 26-year-old delivered a performance of lifetime and this is how the fans are reacting to his effort:
