Abraham Benjamin de Villiers! The name itself is enough to give all chills and thrills to the fans and the oppositions alike. On Monday, against Kolkata at the iconic Sharjah Cricket Stadium in the Indian T20 League, the former South African international went all guns blazing to take his side out of the blushes, scoring a 33-ball 73; an innings that included five boundaries and six sixes.

De Villiers walked after Bangalore lost Aaron Finch in the 13th over with the scoreboard reading 94/2. Taking on the bowlers, he did take his time, but once set, he hit the bowlers all around the park. Scoring a majority of runs at long-on (19), the South African reached his half-century in just 23 balls.

The 36-year-old, alongside Virat Kohli, played a 100-run stand and in the midst, completed 3,000 runs with the Bangalore captain. His innings was rightly applauded by the fans, and the former players alike, and this is how they are reacting to his blistering knock:
