Gujarat vs Chennai recent form

Sitting at the top of the Indian T20 League 2022 standings, the Hardik Pandya-led Gujarat have made a scintillating start to their debut campaign, winning four of their five matches. This includes impressive wins over Punjab, Delhi and Rajasthan.

Defending champions Chennai, on the other hand, have been disappointing this season. With only one win in five matches, the team sits at a lowly ninth spot in the standings. Chennai’s only win, however, came in their most recent encounter against Bangalore.

Gujarat vs Chennai tips and predictions for Indian T20 League 2022

Given the current run of form, it’s safe to say Gujarat will be the outright favourites to come out victorious on Sunday. The team is extremely balanced and almost every player is performing for the team.

Gujarat captain Hardik Pandya has led from the front, scoring two half-centuries and the Indian all-rounder will be gunning for more. Furthermore, a certain Rashid Khan is a mere wicket away from completing 100 scalps in the Indian T20 League.

If he manages to dismiss one Chennai batter, he will become the third-fastest player to reach a century of wickets in the Indian T20 League.

For Chennai, the batting roster has performed decently but the team has left a lot to be desired in the bowling department this season, which pretty much explains their inferior odds of taking the win.
