Delhi vs Punjab recent form

Both Delhi and Punjab are coming off respective defeats in their latest Indian T20 League 2022 encounters.

Delhi have been hit by a COVID-19 scare with all-rounder Mitchell Marsh testing positive for the virus. The franchise, however, will look to put this episode behind them as they aim to return to winning ways against a Punjab team that has a better net run rate of the two.

Punjab, on the other hand, have performed well with the bat and ball despite results not going in their favour in three of their last five matches. The team is set to welcome back skipper Mayank Agarwal who missed the previous game against Hyderabad due to a toe injury.

Delhi and Punjab have met 28 times in the Indian T20 League, with the latter leading the head-to-head with 15 wins as compared to Delhi’s 13.

As far as the last five encounters are concerned, Delhi have had the upperhand in four games and currently are on a two-game winning streak against Punjab.

Delhi vs Punjab prediction for Indian T20 League 2022

Team Punjab are backed by the odds to register a win against Team Delhi in match 26 of the Indian T20 League 2022.

Delhi, led by Rishabh Pant, are likely to tinker with their squad formation as Mitchell Marsh recovers from the Covid-19 virus. The batting, led by David Warner and Prithvi Shaw, will be eager to pile runs early into the contest. On the bowling front, Kuldeep Yadav has been impressive with the ball and will look to spell trouble in the middle overs.

Punjab, meanwhile, will hope to improve their recent record against Delhi. The likes of Liam Livingstone (224 runs in six matches) and Rahul Chahar (9 wickets in six matches) are poised to produce match-winning performances on Wednesday and help the side move up the points table.
