The Indian women’s cricket team will lock horns with arch-rivals Pakistan in their fourth match of the Women’s Asia Cup 2022 at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium in Bangladesh on Friday, October 7. The match will start at 1:00 PM IST (Indian Standard Time).
Led by Harmanpreet Kaur, India Women are the only unbeaten side in the ongoing T20 tournament, having won all three matches so far. Six-time Asia Cup winners India started their 2022 campaign with an impressive 41-run victory over Sri Lanka. The Women in Blue later beat Malaysia by 30 runs (D/L method) and followed it up by thrashing United Arab Emirates (UAE) by 104 runs in their last game.
With six points from three matches, India Women are currently at the top of the standings.
On the other hand, Pakistan Women will look to bounce back after being stunned by Thailand by four wickets in their previous fixture.
The Bismah Maroof-led side had earlier hammered Malaysia by nine wickets before defeating hosts Bangladesh by the same scoreline.
Pakistan are currently placed second in the Women’s Asia Cup 2022 standings with four points from three games and will aim to pip rivals India in their upcoming fixture to stay in contention for the top spot.

India Women have a dominant head-to-head record against Pakistan Women in the T20I format, winning 10 of the 12 matches they have played so far. Pakistan Women have secured just two victories.
The last time these two sides met, India secured a convincing eight-wicket win over their rivals Pakistan in the inaugural Women’s T20 event at Commonwealth Games 2022 at Edgbaston in Birmingham, England.
