The most anticipated and much-awaited India vs Pakistan is only a day away, and while the fans are well and truly excited, the rain gods are expected to play the spoilsport at Old Trafford in Manchester on Sunday.

This edition of the grand tournament has largely been affected by the disruption of the rain, with as many as four games being washed out due to bad weather. And the India-Pakistan game is expected to meet a similar fate. It was on Friday morning that rain drizzled around the industrial city of Manchester, only for the Sun to take a gaze peak soon after. That’s typical English weather, to say the least.

Positively, the rain didn’t affect the city for the most part of the day. Pessimistically though, the weather report for Saturday and Sunday is something to take note of, and it is the latter which is expected to be affected majorly. Reports are that rain is extremely likely in the afternoon which could well and truly affect the second half of the game.

If not for a complete washout, expect the fixture to be heavily cloudy with a short spell of showers hampering the progress. The game starts at 10:30 AM local time in Manchester, and the rain is expected to hit the ground between 12 PM local time to 2 PM.

Meanwhile, given the weather condition on Friday, the Pakistan team were forced to have an indoor practice session.
