England cricket team all-rounder Sam Curran played a stunning knock in the ODI series-decider against India at the Maharashtra Cricket Association (MCA) Stadium in Pune on Sunday.

Chasing a mammoth target of 330 for a series win, England lost wickets at regular intervals and it seemed India would wrap up the final ODI early.

Reeling at 168/6, Curran joined Moeen Ali at the crease in what looked like a difficult run-chase for the visitors. While the Three Lions kept losing wickets at the other end, 22-year-old Curran played a blinder as he brought up his maiden ODI fifty.

With 14 needed in the last over, England could only manage six runs in the 50th over bowled by India pacer T Natarajan as the hosts clinched the three-match ODI series 2-1.

Meanwhile, Twitter hailed Sam Curran for his unbeaten 95 runs knock off just 83 balls.

The southpaw was adjudged the player of the match for his scintillating knock in the third and final ODI.
