The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), on Thursday, announced the 15-member squad for the T20I series against South Africa, which starts in Dharamshala on September 15.

It is almost the same squad which has travelled for the West Indies tour, with the only exception being Hardik Pandya’s return in place of Bhuvneshwar Kumar. Furthermore, pacer Jasprit Bumrah hasn’t been included, while the likes of Navdeep Saini, Deepak Chahar and Khaleel Ahmed have been included as the specialist bowlers.

As far as spinners are concerned, Rahul Chahar, Krunal Pandya and Washington Sundar have been included in the team. As for Kuldeep Yadav and Yuzvendra Chahal, who weren’t the part of West Indies T20Is, the duo hasn’t found a place in the team.

As expected, MS Dhoni hasn’t been picked, with youngster Rishabh Pant being the specialist wicketkeeper. The former captain, having taken a two-month sabbatical from international duties, served the Indian Army earlier this month, and is now in USA.
