India will square off against Sri Lanka in their second Super 4 stage clash of Asia Cup 2022 at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Tuesday, September 6. The match will start at 7:30 PM Indian Standard Time (IST).

After winning both their group stage games in Asia Cup 2022, India succumbed to their first loss of the tournament against Pakistan in a Super 4 clash on Sunday. Having posted a decent total of 181/7 on the scoreboard, the Men in Blue failed to defend the target as Pakistan recorded a successful run chase and won the match with five wickets and one ball to spare.

Sri Lanka, on the other hand, will be brimming with confidence, having won their last two matches under high-pressure circumstances. After getting the better of Bangladesh with two wickets and four balls to spare in their last group stage game, the Lankans edged past Afghanistan with four wickets and five balls to spare in their first Super 4 match.

Needless to say, Sri Lanka will fancy their chances of overcoming India to register their third successive win in the tournament. However, India won’t make things easy for the Lankans as they aim to bounce back after their first loss in Asia Cup 2022.

IND vs SL Dream11 prediction for Asia Cup 2022 Super 4

India have a superior head-to-head record in T20Is against Sri Lanka, having won 17 out of the 25 matches played between the teams in the 20-over format. Sri Lanka, meanwhile, have won seven T20Is against India, while one game ended without a result.

Furthermore, the Men in Blue will have a slight psychological advantage over Sri Lanka, having beaten them 3-0 in a T20I series earlier this year. That said, India won’t take the Lankans lightly, especially on the back of a loss in their last game. They will be eager to return to winning ways come Tuesday and will be marginal favourites as far as getting the better of Sri Lanka is concerned.

IND vs SL Dream11 team tips for Asia Cup 2022

Top tip: Best batter

Picking Virat Kohli in your fantasy cricket team for this game is a no-brainer. The former Indian captain is his side’s leading scorer in the tournament, with 154 runs at an average of 77 and a strike rate of 126.22. He’s smashed two fifties so far against Hong Kong and Pakistan, and has a knack for being among the runs against Sri Lanka. He’s accumulated 216 fantasy points so far and will cost you 9.5 credits to add to your team.

Top tip: Best bowler

Despite being on the expensive side in India’s last outing against Pakistan, picking Bhuvneshwar Kumar in your fantasy team as a bowler is one of the safest bets. The right-arm swing bowler has taken six wickets in Asia Cup 2022 and is India’s leading wicket-taker in the tournament. He’s got a total of 190 fantasy points so far and is a worthwhile investment at 9 credits.

Top tip: Best all-rounder and wicket-keeper

Hardik Pandya’s selection in your fantasy team shouldn’t come as a surprise to many. Despite missing out with the bat in India’s last outing, Hardik has been one of the team’s go-to players in the limited-overs formats in the recent past. He produced a Player of the Match performance in India’s first encounter of the tournament against Pakistan, and will be eager to make amends with bat and ball in the upcoming fixture after a quiet outing last time around. He’s garnered 159 fantasy points in Asia Cup 2022 and can be bought for 9.5 credits.

As far as wicket-keepers go, Sri Lanka’s Kusal Mendis should make for a smart pick, especially considering India’s uncertainty over their gloveman with both Rishabh Pant and Dinesh Karthik not cementing their spot in the team as of yet. Mendis, meanwhile, has looked tidy behind the stumps and has exhibited great form with the bat, having made 98 runs at an average of 32.66 and an incredible strike rate of 163.33. He has accumulated 159 fantasy points so far and is available for 9.5 credits.
