India (IND) take on Afghanistan (AFG) in what is potentially a do or die match for the Men in Blue in the Super 12 of the ongoing T20 World Cup 2021 on Wednesday, November 3 at Sheikh Zayed Stadium.

IND vs AFG Dream11 prediction

India have endured a forgettable run in their T20 World Cup campaign, losing both their matches against Pakistan and New Zealand so far. As things stand, the Virat Kohli-led team sits fifth in the points table and are well below the qualification mark.

For Afghanistan, they enjoyed a brilliant start to their T20 World Cup journey and two wins from three matches mean they are second on the table. A win for India on Wednesday would boost their confidence, but the team is more or less dependent on New Zealand’s results as far as their semi-final hopes are now concerned.

Although Afghanistan are in fine form, India should possess just about enough quality to win their first match of the ICC T20 World Cup 2021 on Wednesday.

IND vs AFG Dream11 team tips for ICC T20 World Cup 2021

Top tip: Best batter

Indian captain Virat Kohli is by far the most reliable batter for this match. The 32-year-old scored a quickfire half-century against Pakistan and although he failed to deliver against the Kiwis, he is most likely to be among runs against the Afghans.

Top tip: Best bowler

India’s bowling attack has been underwhelming in their performances so far, which makes Afghanistan’s Rashid Khan the most viable option for this slot. The 23-year-old leggie has picked seven wickets in three matches so far in the competition and has accrued a whopping 257 fantasy points. You can also consider making him your vice-captain.

Top tip: Best all-rounder and wicket-keeper

Mohammad Nabi has to be your all-rounder for his contest. The 36-year-old has made it to the Dream Team in two of his last three matches, accumulating an impressive 159 fantasy points in the process. Gulbadin Naib can also be considered for this spot, but judging by current form, Nabi should ideally find a place in your team.

As for a wicket-keeper, Afghanistan’s Mohammad Shahzad should be picked ahead of Rishabh Pant. A gamble, yes, but the 34-year-old is more likely to bat higher up the order than an inconsistent Rishabh Pant, making the Afghan keeper a wise choice to opt for.

IND vs AFG probable playing XI
