The Indian cricket team's ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2021 campaign is now in jeopardy as New Zealand sealed a convincing eight-wicket win in the Group 2 clash at the Dubai International Stadium on Sunday, October 31.

The Virat Kohli-led Men in Blue, put to bat first, were reduced to 110/7 in their allotted 20 overs with Trent Boult (3/20) and Ish Sodhi (2/17) leading the charge for the Black Caps.

The New Zealand cricket team, on their part, kept their composure to complete their run chase within 15 overs. Following the win, the Kiwis go third with a net run rate of +0.765. India, on the flip side, needs to win their remaining three fixtures by a massive margin to keep their faint qualification hopes alive.

That's it from us here at SportsAdda! Goodbye and goodnight.

And..... that's a wrap! NZ beat IND by eight wickets

India are now a fish in troubled waters having lost their second straight game in the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2021.

Having to defend 111 runs on the board, the Indian bowlers didn't effect any pressure on the New Zealand batters - especially Daryl Mitchell and Kane Williamson. The Black Caps, on their part, were outstanding with the bat and ball to make the best use of the conditions at Dubai.

The Kiwis extend their unbeaten run against the Men in Blue at the ICC events.

100 up for New Zealand! And nine runs away from a clinical win

Kane Williamson's New Zealand are on the verge of a convincing victory over tournament favourites India.

The Kiwi skipper lobs a Hardik Pandya delivery over wicket-keeper Rishabh Pant to bring up 100 runs for his side.

A masterclass performance from the Hurri-Kane.

New Zealand 102 after 13.4 overs.

OUT! Daryl Mitchell misses out on maiden T20I half-ton

So close yet so far for Daryl Mitchell, who gets dismissed on 49 after guiding New Zealand almost to the finish line.

The opener lifts a Jasprit Bumrah delivery towards long on for a maximum, but it falls short with KL Rahul taking an easy catch.

New Zealand 96/2 after 12.4 overs.

10 overs to go! Can Black Caps wrap up win in style?

After 10 overs, India were 48/3 while New Zealand are batting at 83/1.

Not the Halloween special India fans were expecting.

Mitchell's sixer brings up FIFTY for NZ!

Daryl Mitchell smashes Mohammed Shami's length-ball delivery over mid-wicket for a maximum, to take New Zealand past 50.

The Black Caps are in command of the run chase, with the situation now reading as 56 runs needed in 78 balls.

New Zealand 54/1 after 6.5 overs.

End of Powerplay overs! Kiwis' run chase on smooth track

The introduction of Ravindra Jadeja came at a heavy cost as the all-rounder was hammered for 14 runs in the final over of the mandatory Powerplay phase.

New Zealand finish the Powerplay overs at 44/1, where India could muster 35/2.

Clock ticking for Virat Kohli to deploy a game-changing tactic.

OUT! India draw the first blood

Martin Guptill, expected to guide New Zealand to a strong total in the Powerplay overs, walks back to the pavilion.

After being hammered for a boundary, Jasprit Bumrah bowls a slower length delivery which Guptill attempted to lift for a maximum. However, his miscued timing saw the ball fly high towards Shardul Thakur at mid-on.

After almost popping out of his hands, Thakur safely completes the catch to put a smile on Bumrah's face.

New Zealand 26/1 after 3.4 overs

Bumrah begins spell on an outstanding note

Jasprit Bumrah, India's front line bowler in T20Is, concedes just one run in his opening over to apply some pressure on New Zealand.

The Men in Blue need such spells to put New Zealand slightly on the back foot, but a certain Martin Guptill might prove to be a party pooper.

New Zealand 6/0 after 2 overs.
