The ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup Qualifier 2023 will take place from June 18 to July 9 in Zimbabwe as 10 teams battle it out for the two remaining spots in World Cup 2023.

The upcoming Qualifier is the culmination of four years of competitive cricket that brings together the bottom five teams from the ICC Men’s CWC Super League, the three automatic qualifiers from the ICC Men’s CWC League 2, and the two teams that got direct entry from the ICC Men’s CWC Qualifier Play-off.

The 10 teams that are taking part in the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup Qualifier 2023 are hosts Zimbabwe, West Indies, Netherlands, United States of America, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Ireland, Oman, Scotland, and the United Arab Emirates

These 10 nations have been divided into two groups comprising five teams each. Zimbabwe, West Indies, Netherlands, Nepal, and the United States of America are a part of Group A, while the United Arab Emirates, Oman, Ireland, Sri Lanka, and Scotland make up Group B.

Each team will play the other sides in their respective groups once and the top three teams at the end of the group games will progress to the Super Six stage.

The points won in the group stage of the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup Qualifier 2023 will be carried forward to the Super Six apart from the points that were gained against the nations that failed to make it to the Super Six stage.

The two teams on top of the standings at the end of the Super Six stage will contest the final and both finalists will progress to the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023. The bottom two teams from each group will compete in the playoffs.

A total of 34 matches, including the final will be played in the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup Qualifier 2023.

The matches will be played at the Queen’s Sports Club and Bulawayo Athletic Club in Bulawayo as well as the Harare Sports Club and Takashinga Cricket Club in Harare. The Harare Sports Club is the venue for the final.
