Following a convincing win over Rohit Sharma’s Team Mumbai at home over the weekend, newly appointed Team Rajasthan captain Steve Smith is bracing his men for another stern test.

This time it’s the Shreyas Iyer-led Team Delhi who are scheduled at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium, Jaipur, on April 22.

Rajasthan, over the years, have always held an edge as far as Delhi are concerned, having won 11 of their 18 fixtures since the inception. Even their recent head to headcount gives the home team an upper hand; Rajasthan have won four of their last five encounters.

With both teams coming on the back of an inspired victory, expect it to be a nail-biting encounter.

That being said, let’s take a look at who should be your top pick for the game.

Batsman: Shikhar Dhawan

Chasing a respectable 164 against Punjab during the weekend, a certain Shikhar Dhawan proved out to be a vital cog following his 41-ball 56. Moreover, with Jos Buttler unavailable for personal reasons, the Delhi batsman remains the safest bet, to say the least.

Furthermore, Rishabh Pant might also come into contention, but the fact remains that Dhawan’s experience coupled with a composed head on his shoulder gives him an upper hand over this teammate.

All-rounder: Ben Stokes

As if someone needed a second opinion over it. With just a few days until Stokes and his teammate Jofra Archer depart for the international duty, the all-rounder will be looking to assert a firm authority in the fixture.

Stokes might have failed as a bowler this season, but his ability with the bat, at times, have been in full flow. Expect him to make an impact tonight.

Bowler: Kagiso Rabada

With 21 wickets in just 10 fixtures, Rabada remains the tournament’s purple cap holder. The South African pacer though is not just about wickets, as his economy of 7.69 is up with the very best amongst his teammates.

Furthermore, a strike rate and average of 11.14 and 14.28 respectively is enough for the fantasy coaches to go ahead with the 23-year-old over any other bowler.
