Batting heavy sides Punjab and Bangalore clash in thrilling counter

Team Punjab will look to get back to winning ways when they take on a high-flying Bangalore side at the Narendra Modi Stadium on Friday in the 26th match of the Indian T20 League.

While second-placed Bangalore comes to this fixture at the back of their fifth win of the season in six matches, Punjab will look to right the wrongs from their fourth loss of the campaign that came against Kolkata.

Though Punjab trail Bangalore in terms of points and form, very little separates the teams in the head-to-head record.

Bangalore have had things going their way this season, so much so that they have won four of their last five tosses, winning three games. On the flip side, Punjab has won the toss just once but have registered two wins in the process.

However, form isn't expected to reduce the thrill when two of the batting-heavy sides in cricket take the ground on Friday. From Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers to KL Rahul and Chris Gayle, the clash will see some of the game’s biggest hitters.

In their last five matches, Punjab have averaged 10.2 fours and 5.6 sixes, while Bangalore have hit 14.4 fours and 6.6 sixes on an average.
