The India Women’s cricket team and the West Indies Women’s cricket team squared off for the first time in October 1976, which was a drawn Test match at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore. 

The six-match series, which ended 1-1, remains the only longest format tour played between the two sides.

Since then, India Women and West Indies Women have regularly faced each other in the limited-overs formats of cricket, with India having a better win record. India Women have beaten West Indies Women in 13 of the 21 T20Is against each other. The head-to-head record is furthermore in favour of the Indian women's cricket team in ODIs with 21 wins in 26 matches.

Highest team total: India Women posted 185/4 in the first T20I of the West Indies tour in November 2019. Openers Shafali Verma and Smriti Mandhana scored half-centuries as the visitors cruised to a convincing 84-run victory.

Lowest team total: Opting to bat first in the third T20I of the India Women tour of West Indies 2019, the hosts were restricted to 59/9 courtesy of some disciplined bowling by the Indians. The Harmanpreet Kaur-captained Indian side won the match by seven wickets.

Highest individual score: In the opening T20I of the Carribean team’s Indian tour of 2016, the Windies skipper Stafanie Taylor played a fantastic knock of 90 off 51 balls to help her side win the clash by six wickets.

Best bowling figures: India all-rounder Deepti Sharma has the best bowling figures by an Indian woman in T20Is against West Indies. The right-arm off-break bowler recorded 4/10 in the second T20I of the 2019 series away from home, to guide her side to a lopsided 10-wicket win.

Highest partnership: In the same match where India Women recorded their highest team total against West Indies in T20Is, Shafali Verma (73) and Smriti Mandhana (67) stitched an opening stand of 143 runs, which also remains the highest partnership for India Women against any opposition in T20 cricket.

Highest team total: India registered a mammoth total of 317/8 against West Indies in the Women's World Cup 2022. Smriti Mandhana and Harmanpreet Kaur smashed individual tons as the Mithali Raj-led team breezed to a 155-run win.

Lowest team total: West Indies were bundled out for 83 runs by India in a league stage match of the 1997 Women’s World Cup. Purnima Choudhary’s all-round show proved decisive as India wrapped up the proceedings with a 62-run victory.

Highest individual score: In the same match where India Women set the record for the highest team total, it was Smriti Mandhana’s steady 123 off 119 balls, laced with 13 fours and two maximums, which set the tone for an outstanding win.

Best bowling figures: Team India bowler Neetu David has recorded the best bowling figures in India Women vs West Indies Women match-ups. She bagged 5/20 at Jamshedpur in February 2004 to win it for her side.

Highest partnership: The Indian pair of Smriti Mandhana and Harmanpreet Kaur holds the record for the highest partnership between India Women and West Indies Women when the duo added 184 runs for the fourth wicket in 2022.
