The Pakistan Super League (PSL) hasn’t always been the most comfortable place for batters to express themselves and score runs. Pakistan’s rich heritage of producing world-class pace bowlers has played a part in this, however, over the years there have been quite a few batters who have made their presence known in the PSL.

England’s limited-overs batter Jason Roy is the player who holds the distinction of being the batter with the highest individual score in Pakistan Super League. Roy, in fact, features twice in the top 10 list for highest individual score in PSL history.

A few Pakistan players that feature in the top 10 of this list include Usman Khan, Sharjeel Khan, Babar Azam, and Fakhar Zaman. Usman Khan’s 43-ball 120 for Multan Sultans against Quetta Gladiators in Match 2023 is the highest individual score in the PSL by a Pakistani batter.

Among overseas batters, the likes of Rilee Rossouw, Cameron Delport, Martin Guptill, and Colin Ingram also feature on this list besides Jason Roy.

Jason Roy’s 145* (Quetta Gladiators vs Peshawar Zalmi, March 2023)

England’s hard-hitting opener Jason Roy has the record for the highest individual score in PSL. Set a daunting target of 241 by Peshawar Zalmi, Quetta Gladiators made light work of the chase thanks to Jason Roy. The swashbuckling English batter opened the batting for the Gladiators and went hard at the bowlers right from the start. He scored an unbeaten 145 off 63 balls and hit 20 fours as well as five sixes along the way to help his team to a comfortable eight-wicket win.

Colin Ingram’s 127* (Karachi Kings vs Quetta Gladiators, February 2019)

South African batter Colin Ingram is second on this list for highest individual score in PSL. During the 2019 edition of Pakistan Super League, Ingram produced a Player of the Match performance by scoring an unbeaten 127 off 59 balls. Chasing a target of 187 to win, Ingram came into bat after the loss of a couple of early wickets and went on to hit 12 fours and eight maximums en route to his unbeaten century. The Kings won the match by six wickets.

Rilee Rossouw's 121 (Multan Sultans vs Peshawar Zalmi, March 2023)

It was during another run chase when South African hard-hitter Rilee Rossouw struck the third-highest individual score in PSL. After being set a target of 243 by Peshawar Zalmi, Rossouw took the bull by the horns for Multan Sultans and smashed a 51-ball 121 that included 12 fours and eight sixes. His Player of the Match knock helped Multan Sultans to a four-wicket win with five balls to spare.
