Caribbean legend Chris Gayle is the leading run-scorer in T20 cricket and is widely regarded as the greatest batter in this format. He wreaked havoc in every T20 league he participated in, including the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL).

Gayle, who represented multiple BPL franchises over the years, scored the first century in BPL history during the 2012 edition. He has also smashed five centuries in the Bangladesh Premier League - the most by any batter.

Chris Gayle - 146* off 69 balls

Chris Gayle smashed the highest individual score in BPL history during the 2017 final between Rangpur Riders and Dhaka Dynamites. He smashed five fours and a whopping 18 sixes, remaining unbeaten on 146 off 69 deliveries. Rangpur Riders went on to win the final by 57 runs and lifted the BPL trophy for the first time.

Tamim Iqbal - 141* off 61 balls

Interestingly, the second highest individual score in BPL also came during a final. In the 2019 summit clash between Comilla Victorians and Dhaka Dynamites, Tamim Iqbal smashed 141 off just 61 deliveries, helping Comilla win the final by 17 runs to claim their second BPL crown.

Chris Gayle - 126* off 51 balls

During his dream title-winning campaign for Rangpur Riders in 2017, Gayle also scored a century in the Eliminator against Khulna Titans and it is the third highest individual score in the tournament. He scored 126 off 51 balls as Rangpur Riders chased a 168-target in just 15.2 overs.

Sabbir Rahman - 122 off 61 balls

Sabbir Rahman holds the record for the highest individual score in a losing cause in BPL history. Chasing a target of 193 against Barisal Bulls in BPL 2016, Rajshahi Kings came very close to completing the run-chase courtesy of Sabbir Rahman’s century, which included nine fours and nine sixes. However, they fell four runs short.

Chris Gayle - 116 off 61 balls

In the inaugural season of the BPL, Chris Gayle smashed 116 off 61 balls for Barisal Burners while chasing a massive total of 209 against Dhaka Gladiators. Although Barisal fell short of the target, this knock remained the highest individual score in a losing cause until Sabbir Rahman took over.
