Chris Gayle’s highest score in T20 is a record-breaking unbeaten 175 knock off 66 balls for Team Bangalore, resulting in a massive win over Team Pune in the Indian T20 League in 2013.

Considered one of the greatest batters to have played T20 cricket, Gayle made his West Indies debut in the shortest format against New Zealand in 2006. Since then, the southpaw scored 1,899 runs in 79 T20Is at an average of 27.92 and a strike rate of 137.50. Gayle is currently the leading run-scorer for West Indies in the T20I format.

The self-proclaimed ‘Universe Boss’ was part of the West Indies side that won the ICC T20 World Cup in 2012 and 2016.

Apart from his impressive numbers in T20I cricket, Gayle has had a stellar Indian T20 League career.

Having represented Kolkata, Bangalore and Punjab franchises in the Indian T20 League, Gayle has aggregated 4965 runs in 142 matches at an impressive strike rate of 148.96 and an average of 39.42. He has registered six hundreds and 31 half-centuries in the Indian T20 League.

Gayle has also played for several teams in the Big Bash League (BBL), Pakistan Super League (PSL), Caribbean Premier League (CPL) and Bangladesh Premier League (BPL)

Gayle is the current owner of the record for scoring the most runs in T20 cricket, amassing 14.562 runs in 463 matches at a strike rate of 144.75 and an average of 36.22. He has hit 22 hundreds and 88 fifties.

Interestingly, Gayle also holds the record for most centuries in T20 cricket (22), 14 more than his nearest rivals Aaron Finch and David Warner.

The swashbuckling batter rallied to score an unbeaten 175 off just 66 balls to help Bangalore post a mammoth 263/5 in their 20 overs.

In reply, the now-defunct Pune franchise managed just 133/9 in their 20 overs as Bangalore clinched a massive 130-run victory.
