Established in 1996, Boland Park Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium located in Paarl, South Africa.

Boland Park staged its first international ODI match between India and Zimbabwe in 1997. Since then, it has hosted 14 ODIs including three 2003 Cricket World Cup matches.

The picturesque stadium has a seating capacity of around 10,000Boland Park is the home ground of the Boland cricket team and Cape Cobras. 

The Indian cricket team has played three ODIs at this venue, winning two while the match against Zimbabwe had ended in a tie.

Highest team total: South Africa posted 353/6 against Bangladesh in an ODI match in 2017, which is the highest team total at Boland Park in the 50-over format. The hosts rode on talisman AB de Villiers’ 176 off just 104 balls to put on a mammoth score on the board. In reply, Bangladesh were bowled out for 249 as the Proteas secured a 104-run win.

Lowest team total: Canada have registered the lowest team total at Boland Park in an ODI match. During the 2003 ICC World Cup, Canada were bundled out for 36 against Sri Lanka in a group encounter. Sri Lanka won the match by nine wickets as their medium-pacer Prabath Nissanka was the destroyer-in-chief, picking four wickets for 12 runs. 

Highest individual score: Former South Africa batter AB de Villiers boasts of the highest individual score at Boland Park in 50-over cricket. The Proteas legend smashed 104-ball 176 Bangladesh in 2017. AB de Villiers struck seven sixes and 15 fours in his impressive innings.

Best bowling figures: Former Zimbabwe pacer Eddo Brandes holds the record of the best bowling figures at this venue in an ODI. Eddo Brandes claimed five wickets for 41 runs in his 9.5 overs to help his side tie the encounter. The fast bowler brought Zimbabwe back into the game after they were restricted for 236/8 in their quota of 50 overs..

Most runs: AB de Villiers has scored the most ODI runs at Boland Park in Paarl. The right-handed batter 235 runs in three innings at an average of 78.33 and strike rate of 154.60. de Villiers hammered 176 off 104 balls against Bangladesh in 2017, which is the highest individual score at this venue.

Most wickets: South Africa pacer Andile Phehlukwayo has claimed the most wickets at Boland Park Stadium in ODI format. The right-arm fast bowler has picked up 10 wickets in five matches at an average of 19.60 and an economy of 5.02. Former India spinner Anil Kumble features second on the list with seven wickets in three ODIs.

Highest partnership: Sachin Tendulkar and Sourav Ganguly hold the record for the highest partnership at the Boland Park Stadium. The former Indian opening pair forged a 258-run opening partnership against Kenya in an ODI in 2001. While Tendulkar smashed 146 off 132 balls, Ganguly scored 111 helping India secure a thumping victory by 186 runs.
