Both Warriors and South Coast Sapphires have made a disappointing start to their respective FairBreak Invitational Women’s T20 2022 campaigns. Led by Indian-born American cricketer Sindhu Sriharsha, Warriors have suffered back-to-back defeats against Falcons and Tornadoes in the ongoing six-team T20 tournament so far.

Similarly, former Pakistan cricketer Sana Mir-led South Coast Sapphires succumbed to a 17-run defeat against Tornadoes in their opening match of the FairBreak Invitational Women’s T20.

Warriors have the odds in their favour for Saturday’s match against South Coast Sapphires. On paper, Warriors have a star-studded line-up featuring international stars such as Australia wicket-keeper batter Georgia Redmayne, former South Africa captain Mignon du Preez and West Indies fast bowler Shamilia Connell.

On the other hand, South Coast Sapphires also features experienced international cricketers including Sana Mir, Elyse Villani and Natasha Farrant, but the Warriors’ team composition does seem slightly more balanced.
