The England cricket team (ENG) will eye a comeback in the ongoing three-match Test series against South Africa (SA) when the action resumes for the second Test at Old Trafford on Thursday, August 25. The match will start at 3:30 PM IST.

ENG vs SA Dream11 prediction

South Africa dominated in the first Test. Kagiso Rabada and Anrich Nortje put the South Africa cricket team on top, with the former’s fifer in the first innings making him the 12th different South African bowler to take a five-wicket haul in a Test match at Lord's.

England, on the other hand, suffered their first defeat under Brendon McCullum. The hosts will look to take advantage of the batting conditions on offer at Old Trafford and put their recent disappointing performance behind them.

Based on current form and the overall balance of the two teams, South Africa are expected to win the second Test and take an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three-match series.

ENG vs SA Dream11 team tips for 2nd Test

Top tip: Best batter

Ollie Pope is one of the batters you could pick as he costs just 8.5 credits. He tallied 91 fantasy points in the first Test as he top-scored for England with a combined 78 runs across the two innings when other batters failed to make an impact for the hosts. His fantasy points tally gives him a slight edge over South Africa’s Sarel Erwee, who batted just one innings but Pope is most likely to deliver again in familiar conditions during the second Test.

Top tip: Best bowler

While Kagiso Rabada will be a standout pick as a top bowler, South Africa will want Marco Jensen to continue his wicket-taking spree in the second Test. The 22-year-old pacer took four wickets for 43 runs across two innings in the first Test. At 9 credits, Jansen, who also made 48 runs with the bat, can be a match-winner and he will eye a top performance to add to his tally of 154 fantasy points.

Top tip: Best all-rounder and wicket-keeper

England captain Ben Stokes is an outright pick for this position. The 31-year-old has 588 runs as well as 18 wickets in his last 10 Test matches and will aim to rediscover his form in the second Test after a below-par performance in the series opener. With 106 fantasy points, Stokes is up for grabs at 9.5 credits.

Lastly, South Africa’s Kyle Verreynne should be selected as your top wicketkeeper. The 35-year-old took a total of four catches in the first Test besides scoring an unbeaten 11. Valued at 8.5 credits and with 48 fantasy points to his name, Verreynne is a value-for-money investment.
