In a top of the table clash, FC Barcelona will host defending champions Real Madrid in their second meeting of the La Liga 2022-23 season at Camp Nou on Monday. The El Clasico will start at 1:30 AM IST on Monday, March 20 in India.
Real Madrid won the previous league encounter in the ongoing season against Barcelona in October by a 3-1 margin thanks to goals from Karim Benzema, Federico Valverde and Rodrygo. However, a few poor results since then have put Real Madrid nine points behind Barcelona on the La Liga 2022-23 points table with 13 matches to play.

Barcelona manager Xavi Hernandez will be bolstered by the return of playmaker Pedri in his line-up. Up front, Barcelona possess an in-form Raphinha on the right wing and ace striker Robert Lewandowski spearheading the attack.
While Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti is also expected to field a strong side spearheaded by Ballon D’or winner Karim Benzema and Vinícius Junior, Barcelona’s defence led by goalkeeper Marc Andre ter-Stegen and defenders Ronald Araujo and Jules Kounde have been rock solid all season.
It will also be the third El Clasico between Real Madrid vs Barcelona this year. In the Super Cup 2022-23 final in January, Barcelona defeated Real Madrid 3-1 with goals flying in from Gavi, Robert Lewandowski and Pedri. In the first leg of the Copa Del Rey semi-final earlier this month, Barcelona won the contest courtesy of an own goal by Real Madrid’s Eder Militao in the first half.
