The SA20 2023 returns after a short break with Durban’s Super Giants (DSG) taking on MI Cape Town (MICT). The match will commence at 9:00 PM Indian Standard Time (IST) on Thursday, February 2, 2023, at the Kingsmead Cricket Ground in Durban, South Africa.

Both DSG and MICT have struggled in recent games. While the visitors from Cape Town have lost three of their last five matches, Durban, themselves, have succumbed to four defeats in this period.

Durban’s Super Giants lost by eight wickets against Joburg Super Kings in their previous SA20 match. Despite stitching a competitive total of 178, Faf du Plessis’ ton for the Super Kings led to DSG’s downfall.

Meanwhile, MI Cape Town, who started the tournament with maximum points in the opening match, suffered a heavy 52-run defeat against Pretoria Capitals in their last match.

As it stands, MICT are fifth in the SA20 2023 points table with 13 points. DSG, on the other hand, are five points behind, placed sixth.

Durban’s Super Giants vs MI Cape Town SA20 2023 Dream11 prediction

Durban’s Super Giants emerged victorious in the only previous encounter against MI Cape Town. Reece Topley and Prenelan Subrayen restricted MICT to 152, courtesy of their two-wicket hauls. In the run chase, Kyle Mayers, Wiaan Mulder and Heinrich Klassen’s cameos took DSG over the finishing line with 21 balls to spare.

It is difficult to split the two sides considering their current form. However, DSG will have the home advantage in the upcoming match.

Durban’s Super Giants vs MI Cape Town Dream11 tips for SA20 2023

Top tip: Best batter - Heinrich Klaasen (8.0 credits)

South African batter Heinrich Klaasen is among the top five run-getters in SA20 2023. The 31-year-old has amassed 259 runs at an average of 51.80 and a strike-rate of 148.00 in the tournament, making him DSG’s leading scorer.

Klaasen has made the Dream Team on five occasions so far, averaging 56.42 Dream 11 points per game. Kyle Mayers and Tim David are the other recommended batters as fantasy picks.

Top tip: Best bowler - Rashid Khan (9.0 credits)

Rashid Khan, the MI Cape Town captain, has picked up nine wickets in seven matches in the SA20 2023. Meanwhile, his capabilities to tonk a few big hits with the bat also makes him a favourable bowling pick. The variation of pace and bounce at the Kingsmead pitch is expected to suit the 24-year-old Afghan leg-spinner.

Rashid Khan, too, has raked up more than 50 Dream 11 points per game in this competition while making the Dream Team four times. Protea cricketers Kagiso Rabada and Keshav Maharaj have also been in fine form among the bowlers.

Top tip: Best wicketkeeper - Quinton de Kock (9.0 credits)

South Africa’s premier wicketkeeper-batter Quinton de Kock is the prime choice behind the sticks in the upcoming encounter. Despite a slight dip in form, the Johannesburg-born cricketer remains the second-highest run-scorer for DSG this season, mounting 165 runs in seven matches at a strike-rate of 139.83. De Kock averages 41.28 Dream 11 points per game, the most among wicketkeepers in this contest.

Meanwhile, MICT’s Ryan Rickelton and Grant Roelofsen could be great budget picks at 7.5 credits and 7.0 credits, respectively.

Top tip: Best all-rounder - George Linde (7.5 credits)

While George Linde is not the most reputed name on the team sheet, he has certainly emerged as one of the most important ones for MI Cape Town this season. The 31-year-old all-rounder has registered 134 runs, while striking at 167.50, and five wickets at an economy rate of 7.31.

Linde’s left-arm spin could possess a genuine threat to the DSG middle-order. Priced at 7.5 credits and boasting an impressive 55.57 Dream11 points per game in SA20 2023, Linde can be a valuable pick in this match.
