Delhi vs Mumbai Adda Notes: Know head-to-head and team form at MA Chidambaram

Team Delhi will have a chance to avenge their loss in the Indian T20 League 2020 final, when Rishabh Pant and Co. host defending champions Mumbai at the MA Chidambaram Stadium on Tuesday, April 19.

Both the sides have won two of their opening three matches and will look to continue their winning form in the tournament. However, it is the five-time Indian T20 League champions Mumbai who are expected to end up as the winner given their superior head-to-head record against Delhi.

Not only in head-to-head but Mumbai's three-match old experience at the Chepauk this season will also help the team in staying ahead of Delhi.

It is evident that both Mumbai and Delhi would love to chase although Mumbai haven't really struggled this season while batting first, given their brilliant bowling attack led by Jasprit Bumrah.

Batting first, Delhi have averaged 153.2 runs in their last five innings as opposed to Mumbai's considerably superior average of 162. And if Delhi's comfortable chase of 196 runs within 19 overs is anything to go by, Pant would be desperate to win the toss and field first.

However, toss decisions haven't gone Delhi's way of late.

Delhi will again be banking on their swash-buckling opener Shikhar Dhawan against Mumbai as the southpaw has garnered 748 runs against them. For Mumbai, Rohit Sharma leads the line with his whopping tally of 818 runs against Delhi.

It is, however, in the bowling department that Delhi have an edge. In local Chennai lad Ravichandran Ashwin and his spin partner Amit Mishra, Delhi have two bowlers who each have 21 scalps against Mumbai.

Mumbai, on the other hand, might play Piyush Chawla given his 23 scalps against Delhi. Star bowler Jasprit Bumrah has 18 wickets against this opponent.
