England hold the record for the highest team total in ODIs between the two teams. On the back of Andrew Strauss’ 152 and Paul Collingwood’s 112, England put up a massive total of 391/4 at Nottingham in June 2005. Collingwood also picked up six wickets in that match to restrict Bangladesh to 223 in the run chase.
Bangladesh have crossed the 300-run mark only once against England in this format. Tamim Iqbal’s ton powered the Bangla Tigers to 305/6. However, Joe Root smashed a 129-ball 133 in the run chase, guiding England to an eight-wicket victory.
Lowest team total
Six of the 10 lowest ODI team totals in this fixture belong to Bangladesh. In November 2003, the Khaled Mahmud-led team scored 134/9 in 50 overs at Dhaka, which remains the lowest score.

Bangladesh’s Mashrafe Mortaza has 17 wickets against England in 14 ODIs, the most by any player in this fixture. With a steady economy rate of 5.01, the Norail-born bowling all-rounder scalped a wicket for every 36.70 runs he conceded.
Mortaza boasts the best bowling figures of 4/29 against the English side, which he achieved in the above-mentioned Bangla Tigers’ success at Mirpur in October 2016.
