The Bangladesh cricket team will start their Asia Cup 2022 campaign against Afghanistan at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium on Tuesday, August 30. The Group B match will start at 7:30 PM Indian Standard Time (IST).
Under captain Shakib Al Hasan, Bangladesh have made several changes to their T20I squad for the Asia Cup. Former captain Mushfiqur Rahim and middle-order batter Sabbir Rahman have returned to the 17-member squad.
Pacer Ebadot Hossain and all-rounder Mohammad Saifuddin have also been included in Bangladesh’s Asia Cup squad.
On the other hand, Afghanistan will be brimming with confidence after they defeated Sri Lanka by eight wickets in their opening match of the tournament. With two points on the board, the Mohammad Nabi-led side are currently leading the Group B standings.

Afghanistan have a superior head-to-head record against Bangladesh in T20I cricket, winning five of the eight matches that they have played so far. Bangladesh have managed just three victories.
