Australia and England will square off in a three-match ODI series beginning on November 17, 2022 at the Adelaide Oval. The second and third ODIs will be played at the Sydney Cricket Ground and Melbourne Cricket Ground, respectively.

England will be in action in the ODIs in less than a week after being crowned champions at the T20 World Cup.. From the squad that featured in the World Cup, eight players will be playing in this series, including skipper Jos Buttler and Player of the Tournament Sam Curran.

Pat Cummins takes over as the ODI captain after Aaron Finch announced his retirement from the format in September. The fast bowler, who has played 73 ODIs, is set to become 27th captain of the Australian men’s team.

The ODI series is a continuation of the limited overs series between the sides that began on October 9, just before the T20 World Cup. They played three T20Is back then and will round off their successful trip to Australia with these three ODIs.

The England cricket team will be travelling across the world over the next few months. After this series, they take on Pakistan in a three-match Test series beginning on December 1, followed by the tours of South Africa and New Zealand, respectively.

Australia, who were knocked out in the group stages of the T20 World Cup 2022, will host West Indies and South Africa in what will be a busy summer for those wearing the Baggy Green.
