Confident performances from India on Day 3 of Tokyo 2020 Olympics has been the biggest positive for the contingent, despite results not going their way.
Bhavani Devi created history as the first Indian fencer to play at the Olympic Games. Despite not advancing past the Round of 32, the 27-year-old has scripted a new chapter for Indian fencing at the Olympics.
The Indian women's hockey team put up an inspirational fight against Germany, although going down 0-2. The Indian eves are still in contention and will look to secure their first win of the campaign in their upcoming fixture against Great Britain.
India's medal prospects in Manika Batra and Sutirtha Mukherjee couldn't replicate their previous round results as they crashed out in table tennis' women's singles event. But, all is not lost for Indian table tennis at Tokyo 2020 as the seasoned Sharath Kamal advanced to the third round.
