Australian white-ball captain Aaron Finch on Thursday tied up with the digital collectibles platform Rario. The association will allow Finch to roll out his NFTs (non-fungible tokens) through the platform.

Finch has joined an elite list of cricketers, including Virender Sehwag, Zaheer Khan, Smriti Mandhana, Rishabh Pant, Rashid Khan, Jason Holder, Quinton De Kock, Mohammed Siraj, Ruturaj Gaikwad and Shafali Verma, who have partnered with Rario.

Rario allows cricket fans to trade officially licensed cricket NFTs on the blockchain.

"As a sportsperson, playing with pride and passion for our nation, franchises and clubs are all special. There are many memorable moments on the cricket field that leave long-lasting impressions on us as well as fans, said Aaron Finch on the partnership.

“I am delighted to announce my exclusive partnership with the Rario cricket Metaverse, where you can own my NFTs and relive these moments with me!" he added.

Meanwhile, co-founder and CEO of Rario Ankit Wadhwa too expressed his thoughts on having the Australian cricketer on board, “He (Aaron Finch) is a deserving and invaluable addition to our growing roster of ambassadors at Rario and I am looking forward to having him as part of my own team in the Rario cricket metaverse,”

Lately, several cricketers from across the globe have shown keen interest in owing NFTs.

What are NFTs and how can they be used?

NFTs, also known as non-fungible tokens, are unique digital assets or collectibles created using blockchain technology. They allow people to prove ownership of their digital assets.

NFTs can be used on any digital content from art, videos, gaming, music and tweets which can be launched through various digital collectible platforms.
