Two giants of South American football clash as Brazil (BRA) play host to Argentina (ARG) in their CONMEBOL World Cup qualifier match at Corinthians Arena in the early hours of Monday, September 6.

BRA vs ARG Dream11 prediction

Brazil and Argentina’s last meeting was, in fact, the final of Copa America 2021 where a goal from Angel Di Maria decided the fate of the match. However, a lot has changed since. Brazil are set to be without as many as nine England-based players who did not travel because of United Kingdom's coronavirus restrictions.

Argentina, on the other hand, have issues of their own. National team captain Lionel Messi remains a doubt for the fixture after being tackled by Venezuela's Adrian Martinez in the previous match.

Despite Brazil’s perfect record in the CONMEBOL World Cup qualifiers, Argentina enter the match as slight favourites considering the quality they have in their roster. Furthermore, the La Albiceleste are unbeaten against Brazil in their last two matches which gives them an added boost.

BRA vs ARG Dream11 team tips for CONMEBOL World Cup qualifier

Top tip: Best forward

As Lionel Messi remains a doubt, Brazil forward Neymar becomes an automatic choice for a forward. The PSG attacker has scored five goals and has provided four assists in the qualifiers and one can expect him to add more to his tally.

Top tip: Best midfielder

Argentina’s Angel Di Maria has loved playing against Brazil and remains the best bet for all fantasy managers. With Brazil missing the likes of Alisson, Ederson, Thiago Silva and Fabinho, Di Maria becomes an instant threat for the La Albiceleste.

Top Tip: Best defender and goalkeeper

Despite missing a host of first-team regulars, Brazil have quality full-backs in their rank. And thus, one can go ahead with either Danilo or Alex Sandro. The two attacking full-backs are likely to play a big role in all of Brazil’s attacks on Monday.

As for a goal-keeper, Argentina’s Emiliano Martinez remains the safest bet. An expert in saving penalties, Martinez is one of the most reliable goalkeepers out there and easily pips his competitor, Weverton.

BRA vs ARG probable playing XI

BRA playing XI (probable): Weverton; Danilo, Militao, Marquinhos, Sandro; Ribeiro, Casemiro, Guimaraes, Vinicius; Barbosa, Neymar

ARG playing XI (probable): E Martinez; Molina, Pezzella, Otamendi, Acuna; De Paul, Rodriguez, Lo Celso; Di Maria, Messi, L Martinez
