With five goals in as many games and seven assists to go with them, Tottenham Hotspur's Harry Kane has already notched up 12 goal contributions this season. While his current form is simply a purple patch and is rather unsustainable, at his current pace, Kane would mathematically finish the season with an astonishing 91 goal contributions, a record in every league on this planet.

While he may not reach 91, he’s certainly given himself an opportunity to finish the season as the single-season record holder for most goal contributions in the Premier League. But who leads the way currently?

Here’s the list:

(NOTE: Andy Cole and Alan Shearer share the record with 47, however, he did it back in 1993/94 and 1994/95 respectively, where each team played 42 matches as opposed to the standard 38 now)

Thierry Henry – 44

The Arsenal legend was unstoppable in the early 2000s, winning four golden boots in five seasons. The only season in that stretch where he failed to win the golden boot, he set the all-time record for most assists in a Premier League season with 20. In addition to those, he scored 24 goals, one fewer than Manchester United's Ruud van Nistelrooy who won the golden boot, finishing the season with 44 goal contributions, a Premier League record.

Luis Suarez – 43

A biting controversy ruled Luis Suarez out of the first five games, but upon his return from suspension, the Uruguayan was simply unstoppable, scoring 31 goals in 33 games, equalling the-then Premier League record for most goals in a season. In addition, he also provided 12 assists to teammates, finishing the season with 43 goal contributions. It was all in vain as Liverpool fell agonizingly short in their bid for the Premier League title, however, Suarez did scoop all the individual accolades and earned a move to Barcelona, where he won the treble in his debut season.

Mohamed Salah – 42

What Suarez did in his final season at Liverpool, Mohamed Salah did in his first with the Reds, scoring 32 goals, breaking the record for most goals in a Premier League, scoring 32 goals. He further provided 10 assists, finishing the season with 42 goal contributions, the third-most in Premier League history. Salah won the PFA Player of the Year and has since helped Liverpool win the Champions League and Premier League.
