Premier League football resumes after the international break and a lot has changed between the last round of fixtures and the upcoming set of matches. Manchester United re-signed Cristiano Ronaldo, while Tottenham are expected to be without Giovani Lo Celso, Cristian Romero and Davinson Sanchez as the trio face club fines.

There is also uncertainty over the participation of Brazilian players this gameweek, meaning that the likes of Chelsea, Leeds United, Liverpool, Manchester City and Manchester United will be without key players. With that in mind, here are our picks for Premier League Gameweek 4:

Fantasy Premier League: Gameweek 4 tips to make your team

Best attacker: Harry Kane

Harry Kane may have blanked against Wolves and Watford, but a match against a struggling Crystal Palace team gives him the perfect opportunity to get back on track in the league. Palace are without a win this season and have conceded five goals in three matches.

Kane’s record against the Eagles is also encouraging. The star forward has scored four and has assisted three goals in his last four meetings with Crystal Palace. This includes his man of the match performance from last season where he scored two and assisted twice in a 4-1 win.

Best defender: Kieran Tierney

Now, it’s understood that interest in Arsenal’s defence may be limited this season but judging by the form that Norwich are in, Kieran Tierney could well and truly be an interesting option to have.

Tierney is known to offer strong assistance in attack and is equally efficient while defending as well. He has created seven goalscoring chances already this season and a fixture against Norwich may benefit Arsenal and boost fantasy managers’ scores, especially when you consider that the Canaries have conceded 10 goals and have scored just one.

Best player: Michail Antonio

West Ham United forward Michail Antonio is leading the charts with most fantasy points (40) so far. The striker has scored four goals and has assisted just as many strikes, becoming the third most transferred-in player after Ronaldo and Ferran Torres ahead of GW4.

The Hammers face a struggling Southampton team that is without a win so far. Judging by the form West Ham are in, they are likely to get another win. As for Antonio, he has both scored and assisted in each of his three appearances so far. If he manages to do the same against Southampton, Antonio will become the first-ever player to achieve the feat in four consecutive Premier League games.

Fantasy Premier League stats for Gameweek 4 fixtures

Leicester City vs Manchester City

Leicester City have won three of their last five home league matches against the reigning Premier League champions with a 3-1 win over Liverpool last season being the most recent.

Striker Jamie Vardy has been a headache for Pep Guardiola having scored eight goals in 10 appearances against Manchester City - the most number of goals scored by a player against any team managed by the Catalan.

The last three encounters between Leicester City and Manchester City have been won by the away side.

Manchester United vs Newcastle United

Manchester United have lost just one of their last 36 home matches against Newcastle United in the Premier League. Their last home defeat against the Magpies came in December 2013 under David Moyes.

Manchester United have scored at least three goals in their last four home matches against Newcastle United in all competitions.

Mason Greenwood has scored goals in each of Manchester United’s first three league games. A goal against Newcastle United would make him only the fourth teenager to score in four consecutive Premier League matches after Robbie Fowler, Nicolas Anelka and Francis Jeffers.

Chelsea vs Aston Villa

Striker Romelu Lukaku has scored in each of his last five appearances against Aston Villa.

A win for Chelsea will make them only the second team in Premier League history to reach 600 victories. Only Manchester United have won more matches (689) than the Blues in the Premier League.

Leeds United vs Liverpool

Leeds United have won just one of their last nine Premier League home matches against Liverpool (L5 D3). Their last win at the venue against the Reds dates back to November 2000.

If Mohamed Salah scores against Leeds, he will become the fifth-fastest player to 100 Premier League goals (162 matches) after Alan Shearer (124), Harry Kane (141), Sergio Aguero (147) and Thierry Henry (160).
