Indian cricket team captain Virat Kohli makes it to top 20 of ‘Instagram Richlist’
Indian cricket team captain Virat Kohli is the only celebrity from the country to feature in the top 20 of HooperHQ’s 2021 ‘Instagram Richlist’.
The list includes some of the world's top paid athletes for posting content on the social networking platform.
The ‘Instagram Richlist’ is updated and released every year based on the earnings driven for each post that the celebrities make. HopperHQ's Instagram Rich List features 395 celebrities, sportspersons and influencers.
Portuguese and Juventus star Ronaldo tops the list and makes approximately INR 11.97 crore for each promotional post. He’s closely followed by Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson, who gets a whopping INR 11 crore for each post.
Kohli is in 19th spot on the ‘Instagram Richlist’ and earns INR 5 crore per sponsored post. The batting maestro has close to 132 million followers on Instagram.
Kohli’s popularity is not only restricted to India alone. The 32-year-old is also one of the most renowned athletes in the world, with a huge fan following on various social media platforms.
Given his fanfare and adulation, it is no surprise that top brands like Puma, Wrogn, MRF, Audi and Mobile Premier League (MPL) are associated with the champion cricketer.
Kohli is currently in the United Kingdom (UK) where he was recently seen in action leading India in the World Test Championship (WTC) final against New Zealand in Southampton. He will also captain the Indian team for the five-match Test series against England starting August 4.
