Saffron Strikers (SS) lock horns with Nutmeg Warriors (NW) in a bid to defeat them the second time in the reverse fixture in match 21 of the Spice Isle T10 on Sunday, June 6, at the National Cricket Stadium in St George’s, Grenada.

Saffron Strikers are at the top of the points table with six points. They have played three and lost two matches and also emerged victorious by seven wickets the first time these two sides met. Their net run rate is also the best amongst all the teams.

Nutmeg Warriors occupy fourth place on the table with two victories, three losses, and four points. They were unable to get past SS on the previous occasion but would push collectively this time around to change the outcome. Just two points separate the two teams.

SS vs NW Dream11 prediction

Packed with power-hitters and all-rounders, both sides make a strong case for themselves. However, Saffron Strikers are favourites in this case on account of the psychological advantage that they hold. At the same time, Nutmeg Warriors would be under tremendous pressure to earn a victory which might backfire and might not be able to pull off the task.

SS vs NW best players to pick for Spice Isle T10 fantasy team

Top tip: Best batsmen

Mickel Joseph is the batsman in form for SS. He hammered a 15-ball 39 coming in at No. 3 versus the Ginger Generals and usually prefers to go hard on the bowlers. He also has an unbeaten 16-ball 30 against the Bay Leaf Blasters to his name. He is a good pick in any fantasy side.

NW’s top-order batsman Seandell Regis has had a good run in the tournament so far. He scored a stylish 29-ball 45 against the Clove Challengers and a 19-ball 29 versus the Generals which suggests he is capable of playing at high strike rates, exactly what the fantasy lovers look for.

Top tip: Best bowlers

Laurie Williams is in good touch at the moment for Saffron Strikers. He bowled a miserly spell of 2-0-8-2 with an economy rate of only four runs per over against the Generals and would be eager to add more to his wickets tally.

Nutmeg Warriors bowler Haston Jackson is the one to watch out for in this encounter. He collected two wickets giving away a mere seven runs in the previous outing against the same opposition. The fantasy team owners can bank on him to come good yet again.

Top tip: Best all-rounder and wicket-keeper

Lendon Lawrence is the best wicket-keeping option in this match. The Saffron Strikers gloveman usually provides a great start to the team and is extremely good behind the stumps too. He has some notable scores in the tournament like an unbeaten 31-ball 64 against the Blasters and a 16-ball 32 against the Cinnamon Pacers.

Nutmeg Warriors all-rounder Andre Fletcher is making heads turn with his all-round performances. He hit an incredible 28-ball 69 against the Blasters and a 16-ball 45 against the Challengers. Also, he registered figures of 4/12 in the early stages of the tournament. These numbers certainly make him the numero uno choice while selecting any fantasy team.

SS vs NW probable playing XI

SS playing XI (probable): Lendon Lawrence (wicket-keeper), John Olive, St Nickozi Hillaire, Ryan John (captain), Mickel Joseph, Jelani George, Shermon Lewis, Kem Charles, Alex Moses, Jenson Phillip, Laurie Williams
