Melbourne Renegades (REN) will lock horns with Perth Scorchers (SCO) in match 17 of Big Bash League 2021-22 at Docklands Stadium in Melbourne on Wednesday, December 22.

The Nic Maddinson-led Renegades have struggled in the ongoing edition of BBL, registering just one win in three matches so far. REN are currently languishing at the bottom of the BBL 2021-22 standings with three points from as many games.

On the other hand, the Perth Scorchers remain the only unbeaten side of the competition, having won all three of their games at the time of writing. The Aston Turner-led SCO are currently second in the standings with 10 points.

REN vs SCO Dream11 prediction

Perth Scorchers have a dominant head-to-head record against Melbourne Renegades in the Big Bash League, winning 11 of the 14 matches. Moreover, the Scorchers have won four of their last five clashes in the BBL. By looking at recent results and the past head-to-head record, SCO will be overwhelming favourites against REN on Wednesday.

REN vs SCO Dream11 team tips for Big Bash League 2021-22

Top tip: Best batter

Mackenzie Harvey has been in scintillating form for Melbourne Renegades in the ongoing BBL. The 21-year-old opening batter has scored 146 runs in three matches at an average of 73 while also maintaining a strike rate of 128.07. Having accumulated 211 fantasy points, one must pick Harvey in the fantasy team for this upcoming encounter.

Top tip: Best bowler

Perth Scorchers’ Kane Richardson has been one of the standout bowlers in BBL 2021-22 so far. The Australian fast bowler has taken six wickets in three matches at an economy of 7.45. With 218 fantasy points, Richardson makes a good pick for the game against Melbourne Renegades.

Top tip: Best all-rounder and wicket-keeper

As far as all-rounders go, it is a no-brainer to include Mitchell Marsh of Perth Scorchers in the fantasy teams. The 30-year-old smashed a blitzkrieg hundred (100 not out off 60 balls) against Hobart Hurricanes to help his side earn a 53-run win on Tuesday. Along with his bat skills, Marsh is also quite handy with the ball and is likely to play an important role against Renegades.

Among the wicket-keepers, Melbourne Renegades' Sam Harper will likely win the spot over Josh Inglis of Perth Scorchers. Harper, in addition to his wicket-keeping responsibilities, has scored 78 runs in three matches so far. The Renegades wicket-keeper could be an excellent fantasy pick at 9.5 credits.
