Munster Reds (MUR) will take on Leinster Lightning (LLG) in the 8th game of the Ireland Inter-Provincial Limited Over Cup on Saturday, May 22, at the Pembroke Cricket Club, Dublin, Ireland.

MUR have only played one game so far. Unfortunately, they ended up on the losing side and their second game got abandoned. On the other hand, LLG started their campaign by winning three consecutive games, but lost their fourth one. Their last match was abandoned too.

Overcast conditions are expected for the game. The pitch has favoured the bowlers at this venue and the average score has been around the 158-run mark.

MUR vs LLG Dream11 prediction

At the moment, LLG are second on the points table while MUR are languishing at the bottom. With three wins in four games, LLG appear superior to MUR and should start as the favourites.

Top tip: Best batsmen

Andy Balbernie will continue to bat at his preferred No. 3 slot. He has already got a 100 to his name in this tournament and has also generated more than 200 fantasy points till now.

Murray Cummins of MUR started the tournament with a fine 61. He too will bat at the No. 3 position and has 90 runs to show for his effort in the two matches he has played this season.

Top tip: Best bowlers

In five games, Barry McCarthy has already picked up 11 wickets. He can open the bowling and operate at the death too. We have seen him bowl plenty of impressive spells in international cricket. A seamer, you cannot afford to play without in fantasy cricket.

Josh Little too has been a regular fixture in the Irish side for limited overs cricket. The 21-year-old bowler has picked up seven wickets in five games this season and ends up bowling six overs per match. A useful pick considering the conditions in Ireland.

Top tip: Best all-rounder and Wicket-keeper

George Dockrell has been representing Ireland for a decade now. Besides bowling steady left-arm spin, he can also bat up the order and contribute with the runs. He has already scored in excess of 100 runs this tournament.

Picking Peter Moor, the Zimbabwe player ahead of Lorcan Tucker could be more beneficial in the wicket-keeper category. The Zimbabwean will open the batting, whereas the Irish keeper will bat down the order.

MUR vs LLG probable playing XI

MUR probable XI: Neil Rock (WK), Jeremy Lawlor, Cormac McLoughlin Gavin, Jonathan Garth, Matthew Foster, Jack Tector, Tim Tector, Matthew Brewster, Aaron Cawley, Diarmuid Carey, Senan Jones

LLG probable XI: Lorcan Tucker (WK), Kevin O’brien, Gareth Delany, Curtis Campher, Murray Cummins, Joshua Little, Peter Chase, Simi Singh, Barry McCarthy, George Dockrell, Andy Balbirnie
