The Indian T20 League 2022 mega auction has concluded, with a total of 204 players sold out of the 600 players listed in the auction list.

The second day was emphatic as it could be, with a whopping 551.7 crores spent in the accelerated auction. It is worth noting that Day 2 saw 130 players find takers, with Liam Livingstone being the biggest purchase (INR 11.50 crore).

Interestingly, 137 Indian cricketers and 97 uncapped players were sold which is a sign of the Indian T20 League's commitment to providing a stage for homegrown talent to showcase their worth to the cricket audience.

Of all the bids, Mumbai's INR 8 crore capture of Jofra Archer was the biggest headline-grabber as it indicated a new powerhouse bowling pairing between him and Jasprit Bumrah.

Furthermore, the final round of the Indian T20 League 2022 mega auction saw Hugh Edmeades return to take over his auctioneer duties from stand-in auctioneer Charu Sharma.
